Step 1: Mow
Whilst we are huge advocates of the no mow philosophy, in some instances to prepare areas properly for wildflower seed some mowing is advisable. To give the wildflowers and new grasses the best chance to take well it is best to mow on a close setting, removing the cuttings
Step 2: Sow
Once the grass has been mown the seeds can be scattered. One bag will cover an area of approximately 5m2
Step 3: Watch it grow!
We have specifically used this mix for ease and flexibility. Unlike many wildflower seed mixes, our lawn beautifier will tolerate higher nutrient soils and can be sown on existing lawn areas, not just bare soils. The seed bags contain a selection of flowers and grasses. The flowering periods vary, meaning your lawn area will be festooned in colour for many months of the year - the insects will love you for it!
